 A number of custom target control systems have been designed and built over the years by Creative Controls. The most popular is a software based system run from a laptop. The software, called "Target" is used to set up timed target change sequences (programs) for each drill. An unlimited number of programs can be created and saved in memory. The software provides a realistic simulation of the target change sequences on a graphical display. Each target activator (air or electric) is wired to an individual control module which receives RS-232 signals from the laptop. When the program runs the laptop activates the targets so that each shooter gets precisely the same exposure to the target and the same repetitions for each drill. The original “Target” software and control system was installed at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, GA and has been operating since 1997. Each system is individually designed with customized software. The system also includes a wired and wireless activator for practice use.
